I love design, quite simply. Digital design is my passion, but my interests extend into areas like interior, event, and floral design. I gravitate towards creative direction because it affords me a blank canvas and the creation of ideas, visuals, and experiences from scratch. But the idea is only half the battle—seeing it go from a sketch on a piece of paper to a real-life thing are very different. It's my careful planning, communication, and creative vision that help me execute ideas and see them come to life.
One of my biggest passions is hiring good people and nurturing a design team that not only rocks but also enjoys each other's company. I am not afraid of providing feedback for improvement, but on the flip side, my co-workers know how important they are to me through things like weekly touch-bases and elaborate surprise birthday parties.
For me, creative direction is coming up with a unique vision, whatever the medium, obtaining stakeholder buyin, and rallying our team around brining it to life. This means letting them create, but being there to make sure that the final product fits the vision makes us all proud in the end.
